About Lignum Terra
Furniture made by hand in Riga
Lignum Terra makes furniture from solid ash and epoxy resin in Latvia. The idea is simple: honest pieces made from real wood, with the grain, knots and natural edge left visible instead of hidden under veneer.
How it started
Lignum Terra started in a garage. Einars began by making furniture for his own home, and it grew from there.
What we make
- Coffee tables with solid ash tops and black steel bases
- A solid ash TV sideboard with soft-close door
- Live edge ash wall shelves with black epoxy inlay
- Hand-poured epoxy resin side tables
Materials
We work mainly with ash: a hard, light-coloured wood with a strong grain. Tops are solid wood, not veneer, finished with wax and a nano protective coating for everyday use.
Our wood comes from several suppliers rather than a single source. If you would like to know more about the wood in a specific piece, ask us and we will share the information we have. Under Latvian forestry law, harvested forest areas must be regenerated.
